Before The Night Ends 2

Creating Before The Night Ends 2, was definitely a different experience. As an artist, I usually love to create music when the audience eats up that specific genre. However, this was originally meant to be an abundance of music or an EP (extended project/play). This inevitably became an album that encapsulated my emotions throughout my freshman year of college. Whether or not it is expressed explicitly within the songs themselves, the complete arrangement of the songs and instrumentals is meant to convey a certain emotion in each song. When creating the album, the majority of the songs (excluding 42) were made during my college freshman year making this the most detailed piece of work I have ever made. This was the result of treating music as a secondary job. Doing this was difficult as music is my genuine passion, especially when compared to derivatives, limits, and logarithms.

When building the songs I wasn’t actually consciously thinking about how I would structure the album or if I would even produce an album. At the time, I was simply creating music as a way of letting off steam. One thing that is satisfying about art, especially in an auditory setting, is the fact that I can de-stress myself throughout the music-creation process. Also, more often than not I will end up with a song I can listen to on my own without making it feel personal.
